Thank a farmer
March 31 is ‘Thank a Farmer Thursday’ at Many Colleges
Washington--AgFACTS, Inc. will sponsor “Thank a Farmer Thursday” on March 31 on a number of college campuses across the country. The event is designed to celebrate what farmers and ranchers do to feed the world and educate college students about where their food and clothing comes from.
“Thank a Farmer Thursday” will be held at the University of Florida, University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri State University, College of the Ozarks, Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, Virginia Tech and Penn State and other universities. Agriculture students and others will pass out food, T-shirts and brochures about the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives.
AgFACTS, Inc. has established a “Thank a Farmer Thursday,” Facebook page.
AgFACTS, Inc. stands for Agriculture: Feeding and Clothing Tomorrow’s Society. The goal of the group is to educate and spread agriculture’s positive message to those unfamiliar with agriculture.
