USDA Announces Rural Investments in 10 States

Washington--Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on Tuesday announced that loans and grants will be provided to applicants in 10 states to support businesses, improve the quality of medical care, and create or save hundreds of jobs. Some of the grants favor agriculture production, including expansion of a milk processing plant in Iowa and a farm equipment dealership in Kansas. Funding is provided through USDA's Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program. For a complete list of recipients, check out USDA’s news release.
