New York Times Letter: Stop Fear-Mongering on Animal Antibiotics
New York--A letter to the editor of The New York Timesby David Kessler, in a series on animal agriculture and antibiotics, said there is no proven link to antibiotic treatment failure in humans due to farm animal antibiotic use. “Let’s keep this dialogue focused on the facts, and lose the hyperbole and fear-mongering,” wrote Kessler, a professor of veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia, a member of the Center for Food Safety and an adviser to the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.
