Barley Harvest looking good
Teton--The Upper Valley barley harvest is two-thirds done, according farmer Jason Nelson of Victor.
"We'd be completely done if it wasn't for the daily afternoon thundershowers for the past couple of weeks," said Nelson.
Nelson says prices are good, better yet, the crop is one of the best in recent history. "We're getting great yields even though we got off to a late start, the crop caught up and took off mid-summer. We're contracted and got a good price, the market is even with last year but its expected to get even better."
